Away Postponed Due To Bad Weather
UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's visit to Pakistan has been postponed.
The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, was scheduled to arrive in Islamabad today on an official visit. His plane was supposed to land at Noor Khan Airbase at 10 am local time, but due to bad weather, the plane could not get clearance.
Government sources say that the visit of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin Zayed, will be rescheduled, and the dates of the distinguished guest's visit to Islamabad will be re-announced.
The UAE President contacted the Prime Minister and expressed his regret over the cancellation of the visit and assured that he will come to Islamabad for a visit soon.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the safety and security of the UAE President is very dear, they cannot take the risk of flying in this weather.
Special arrangements for reception
Special arrangements were made to welcome UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in the federal capital.
A public holiday was declared in Islamabad on the arrival of the foreign guest while welcoming banners were displayed at various places, apart from this, security was also kept tight to avoid any untoward incident.
