ASF handed over the arrested accused to ANF
The Airport Security Force (ASF) foiled an attempt to smuggle drugs worth crores of rupees from Islamabad and Sialkot airports.
According to the spokesman, during the operation at Islamabad International Airport, the attempt to smuggle drugs abroad was foiled and the accused was arrested.
The passenger wanted to go to Bahrain by foreign airline flight GF 771. During the search, ASF personnel recovered more than two kilograms of heroin from the passenger's bag.
According to the statement, the passenger was handed over to ANF after initial investigation. The value of the heroin recovered from the accused is Rs 2.5 crore in the international market.
On the other hand, heroin worth Rs 6 crore was recovered from a passenger going to Bahrain during the operation at Sialkot Airport.
According to the spokesman, Muhammad Aslam, who traveled to Bahrain with his family, had secretly hidden 5 kg of drugs in two bags.
The passenger's family along with the recovered drugs were handed over to the ANF authorities for further action.
