The registrar wrote that lakhs of cases are pending in Punjab courts. It is difficult for judicial officers to participate in the electoral process with cases. The Election Commission had requested the judiciary to appoint D Rao and Aaroz.
The letter further states that it is difficult for judicial officers to participate in the electoral process with cases. The Election Commission wanted the appointment of DRAs and Aarooz from the Judiciary.
