Bollywood's most popular director Rohit Shetty revealed
Recently India's most popular action director Rohit Shetty spoke to the Indian media about his struggles in the industry. He told how he had to drop out of education to support the family after his father's death. He said that people think that the journey of the film industry must have been easy for me. When I started working, I used to get only 35 rupees. Sometimes I had to skip food and sometimes I had to skip travel.
One had to travel on foot from one city to another in the scorching sun. The journey was quite long and it took one and a half to two hours. He further said that he used to work in the stunt department of the 1995 film Aakti, where he had to iron actress Tabu's sarees.
Rohit started his career as the assistant director in 1991 with Ajay Devgn's film Phool Aur Kante. He then worked as an associate director for several films starring Ajay, including Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha, Raju Chacha, Hindustan Ki Kaat and Sahaag.
